    The FranchiseEngine runs on the Internet. All user operation is done with industry standard web browsers. Thus, the setup is well suited for geographically dispersed user groups, and puts few constraints on the user equipment. User side software installation is not required.

  • automated online document management
    Whenever you or one of your authorized business partners use your web browser to change contents or structure of the documents, the FranchiseEngine takes care of the site update and HTML editing on the server - automatically.

    This ensures a consistent look and feel of your site even if you have many partners contributing as authors.

  • scheduled live document updates
    Updates take effect immediately. Additions, comments, new information becomes available to all authorized business partners in real time.

    This is especially important if you want to use the service to keep online information on appointments, ware house data, and other time-critical resources.

  • document templates
    Prepared document templates allow to maintain a consistent and professional web site without knowledge about HTML. Internal links are generated automatically to avoid frequent broken links.

  • document upload/download/update
    If the FranchiseEngine site owner authorizes you, you can upload, download and even edit the documents on your FranchiseEngine site using any web browser. No special user side system administration of software installation is required.

  • document folder management
    You can add, remove, change position of document folders. Document folders provide the explicit structure of your FranchiseEngine document space.

  • read/write user accounts
    You can manage who can read and write documents.

  • site owner account
    The site owner has unlimited access rights to your FranchiseEngine site and delegates read/write access rights for user groups.

  • document space
    The base setup includes up to 600 document folders.

  • unlimited data transfer
    The base setup is a low cost reasonable use model. We do not charge for data transfer, but we can only provide finite bandwidth. Therefore, if you want to do video streaming then you should consider the high performance options offered as custom functions.

  • 24/365 operation shared Linux server
    The servers are operated on a reasonable use assumption. We do not run hundreds of customer sites on a single machine as low cost ISPs do. If you know that your FranchiseEngine will be a big installation then please consider the high performance options offered as custom functions.

  • shared leased line
    We maintain decent internet connectivity for text based interaction. The server internet link is included in the base fee.

  • best effort policy - no performance guarantee
    Based on experience operating shared and dedicated internet servers for several years, we are confident that our systems deliver competitive uptime and performance.

    However, we do not guarantee uptimes, performance, throughput or anything else.

    YOU MAY NOT USE OUR SERVICE IN SITUATIONS WHERE MALFUNCTION COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO HEALTH, ENDANGER LIVES, OR OTHERWISE INCUR A HIGH RISK THAT NORMALLY REQUIRES SPECIAL ATTENTION.
